Special ultrasound examinations on pregnant or critically sick patients are not easily practiced realistically on healthy volunteers. However, especially in such crucial situations, good training forms the foundation of medical decision-making. Through innovative 3D printing technology, special fetal pathologies, for example, can be realistically replicated to greatly facilitate the training of diagnostics as well as ultrasound-guided therapeutic options.
